Right, so I bought a Siemens-Nixdorf PCD-4ND, nice 486-based laptop. I have two batteries for it (one can go into the slot for floppy drive), both are pretty much dead.
That said, I have noticed that Jozef Bogin junior has managed to replace the cells inside and get it running:

Has anyone here done it? I have a couple of very basic questions (apologies!):
- What cells should be bought instead of the original ones? And where from?
- Does connecting them require soldering?
- How do you even open a battery, so as not to break it?
