Trying to get 86Box v2.0 working with the following settings:

[Machine]
machine = amixt
mem_size = 640
cpu_use_dynarec = 0
cpu = 1

[Video]
gfxcard = cga
video_speed = 0

[Other peripherals]
hdc = mfm_xt

[Hard disks]
hdd_01_parameters = 17, 4, 306, 0, mfm
hdd_01_fn = C:\test.img
hdd_01_mfm_channel = 1

Its booting up from a dos 3.30 disk but when I run fdisk I get no fixed disks present.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

No, no ideas, sorry.. 😢 ' Have the same problem with current release of PCem..
XTIDE emulation works fine, but neither selecting the AT Host Interface, nor the MFM/RLL emulation works for me.
In every BIOS, from 286 to 486, they both fail (auto detection feature of AMI BIOSes reports no drives, either).
- I'm using small images, smaller than 500MB and all of them do use valid CHS geometry.

Edit. Welcome to Vogons! 😀

Dont see to be having any luck here.

Tried setting HD controller to XT IDE. Then created a new disk 10MB, bus XT IDE. Click Ok and it says it will reset 86Box but then the window closes. No error.

Rerunning 86box again and the hard drive I setup is missing.

Glad it worked! 😀
Though 86Box is also nice to have.
Maybe in your version, XTIDE BIOS was missing ?
