Using the ddraw setting makes everything blurry?

I’ve been installing a bunch of my old favorite dos games in the latest DOSBox. When I set graphics if I try mouse the ddraw option, everything is weirdly cloudy or blurry. What would cause that? The computer I’m using is modern with directx and nvidia graphics card. I run stuff like Witcher 3 on it.

Any idea what’s causing it? I want to use the ddraw setting for a certain game because it doesn’t seem to want to go full screen unless I do. Thanks!

Set aspect=true, that should do the trick.

What are your settings for `fullresolution` and `scaler`?
What is the resolution of your monitor?

Try `fullresolution=desktop` and `scaler=normal2x` or normal3x.
