I tried to run GEX Enter the Gecko with OpenGLide.
The game started with a grey screen, problem is:
it stays grey. You can hear the sound playing, but you can't see anything.

I then tried eVoodoo:
Now the graphics could be displayed, but the textures were all messed up. I tweaked the configuration but couldn't get it right.

Someone got a solution for this prob?

(sorry for my english 😜 )

Hmm...
I wonder what it's trying to do...

Hey, Paul and Fabio, is there some kind of 'debug' version that logs unsupported commands to a text file that can then be uploaded here?

Yes, it’s my fault.

Yeah, good idea.

Probably worth changing the version string in some way for these debug releases, otherwise there is bound to be confusion eventually with reports we recieve. I.e., somebody who has had various versions on there hard disc for a year is going to tell us that v007b3 has a problem that isn't in v007b2, but it wont make sense because what the think is v007b3 is actually a debug version released half way between v007b3 and v007b4.

Another thing that would be nice is the return of the OpenGlide configuration utility (completely rewritten/redesigned), and a proper manual... 😀

Then you could easily have the utility switch between regular and debug mode just by changing the name of the DLL files, or something.

There WAS.

But it's been broken since OpenGlide v0.05. Go to the link above and post your thoughts about what it should do / should not do. 😀

I'm surprised Craig hasn't tested Gex yet, though. Craig? You out there? 😀

I'm out there, somewhere 😉

I've tried it, but it looks like it's not supported for now. All I get is a blank screen, and the only way out is to end task it.

For now, I'd suggest playing it on ePSXe.
The PSX version is a lot better, and was suited better to a console.
ePSXe, will allow you to play it fullscreen, with FSAA, and a nice high resolution. Depending on Hardware owned, though.

Guess I started something ... 😉

Good idea Craig,

Only thing I need to do right now is to find my PSX CD of GEX. 🙄
*damnwheredidiputit* s#!t

The Playstation is alot better indeed.
I never seriously tried a PSX Emulator, guess now it's the time!

I can recommend ePSXe. I recently played Silent Hill right the way through using it - faultless.

The only trouble is that many of the games themselves are targeted at 320x240 resolution, and that makes the textures dance around when you scale up the resolution.
