Shannara is quite a nice game, with quite an emotional moment in it at one point.
Problem is the unnecessary but yet, forced horrendous battle encounters. There're no particular tactics or strategy. Mindless click attacking and praying that there are no fatal damage-taking. Or else, reload and repeat. Probably related to the involvement of Lori and Corey Cole - designers of Quest for Glory series. Either that, or the producers brought them in for accomplishing these encounters in an adventure game.
Otherwise, beautiful hand-drawn scenery and characters.
Difficulty is on the easier side, and should be able to complete it without hints.
And it will be helpful to add "Shannara" in the thread title to let know this thread is about the Shannara and nothing to do about Lord of the Rings universe.
Edit: Changed Sword of Shannara to just "Shannara" - 1st word. (Sword of Shannara is a book title, which I have also read and which this game is based upon.)
