I just got a voodoo3 that needs repair. Does anyone have a schematic or values for a 210-0364-00? Mine is missing c95 and c84. Also curious if you think damage could be done with the card powered up with those caps missing. any info would be helpful.

I wouldn't with C95 missing. Even if it was just C84, I would think it's best not to risk it.

http://hw-museum.cz/vga/46/3dfx-voodoo3-3000-agp-rev--c1 has a good hi-res image of a 210-0364-003, and C95 markings are very visible.

---EDIT---

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskElectronics/comme … _smd_capacitor/ has info for C95.

unfortunately, I think it was already 'tested' by the seller, presumably with those caps missing 🙁 but good closeup! I guess I might get an in circuit cap tester for the tiny smd c84. I have a nearly identical, working voodoo 3 with those caps I just couldn't read the value on c84 by looking at it

All of Voodoo 3 electrolytic SMD caps are 10uF 16V and 90% (possibly 100%) of 0603 SMD caps are 0,1uF 16V. It is often safe to replace those sizes with these ratings even if you can't confirm. So go ahead and stick a 10uF 16V SMD Electrolytic Cap to C95 I say. C84 is an 0805 cap and I'm not sure about its rating as I never had to replace one but if I had to guess I would say it is a 220nF 16V 0805 SMD.

Thanks. Yeah, C95 is an easy one....should have just looked closer at the cap. 10uf, 16v. I'll try the 220uf on the tiny c84 cap and see what happens

HOLD! WAIT! I made a mistake! I meant to type 220nF above, 200uF would be too much. 220nF 16V is what I would try.

Still hold on for someone else to confirm, though.

ha. 220uF sounded a little high, at least for the tiny size. I might just try to de-solder one of the tiny caps and read the value eventually if no one chimes in
