Still, untested and certainly dead is two different things. The hope that it may be a properly working piece includes the equal amount of despair 😉 It's unethical to sell it as untested again after collapsing its wave function, even if the next owner doesn't care about it being Schrödinger's CPU.
Shame on us, doomed from the start
May God have mercy on our dirty little hearts
I have a Cyrix 5x86-133GP/4X for sale over on CPU-world forums: http://www.cpu-world.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31413
Any chance for a discount? 😉

You might get the best price offer on ePay.

I would like to have one for my collection but at this price I can't afford it. Especially since I branched into collecting more esoteric stuff like Alpha systems. Those demand a lot of money for restoration.
I/O, I/O,
It's off to disk I go,
With a bit and a byte
And a read and a write,
I/O, I/O
Erf already bought two k5 200 in September...
That would really be unwise...
If it doesn't find a buyer quickly I'll obviously have to take it 🙁

Could you post a picture + how mocuh did you spend on those?
Sure, here are 12666MHz of angry AMD CPU :
Found the 2 K5 in september.
The 3 FX 57 in july.
Already had 3 of the slots, found the fourth this summer too.
Somehow those things fly in groups, after looking for them for years !

Bit of an AMD junkie are we?

Haha, sure thing.
But I'm afraid I'm a multi-classed junkie :
Well according to my files, 142 AMD processors, 156 Intel processors.
Also 9 cyris, 5 IBM, 2 ST, 3 UMC.
So not so high after all. But good quality stuff !

I'll probably sell all my sealed boxed components (not that many after all). I'm sort of a collector but mostly a user. But don't want to break the seal and I already have the same bare parts.
Requests here!
Boxed items are great, but the storage space required is 4-fold. At one point in the past, I just said to hell with it, and threw out all the boxes and kept the parts. That was 17 years ago. I'm slowly holding onto boxes again until the point in which my closet won't close, then who knows.

Well appart for the 980X, those CPU boxes are not too big.
The problem is more on the Videocard and motherboard side. Also the consoles.
It's starting to crawl outside the cupboards here.
Got 3 MSI lightning boxes at my feet haha (580GTX, 6970, 7970), as well as a sega saturn and a xbox 360 ...
My wife stopped entering this room some time ago 😁

Many retail boxes can be a kind of compacted to save space. I mean unglued and flattened. Some boxes have a lot of free space inside which can be utilised to store related parts.

That is, in fact, what I did 17 years ago. I kept them compacted for a 1 year, then thought to myself, "this is silly - throw them away". Back then, I never anticipated there would be such value in boxed items.

ph4nt0m - do you know how to achieve this? I have a dx50 and would love to find a replacement cpu that can run with a 50mhz fsb

CLKMUL pin pulled up to Vcc selects 3x, pulled down to earth selects 4x.
Your DX-50 is a 5V CPU. If your mainboard has no 5V to 3.5V LDO, you need a CPU adaptor with one. It's probably easier to buy an upgrade kit like Kingston TurboChip TC5x86/133

I was looking for an Am586 on the upgrade board with LDO but the only one I can find is on ebay and the global shipping program estimates 55 dollars (!!!) to the Netherlands. The seller isn't willing to send any other way and this just seems like extortion to me for something small and light enough to fit into a little envelope. I didn't think of the Kingston! Any idea where I could source one?
