Hey guys,

I need your advice. Maybe you already have experience with the problem.

I have a Roland SCB-55 here and it works really well, but it lacks two noise filters (FL3+4).
At least I think that they are noise filters. 😀

The attachment Missing Filters.jpg is no longer available

The two missing components (Indication F103) were simply bridged.
It leaves me no peace and I would like to restore a more original state.
Now I have searched on the Internet and found very similar filters from Panasonic.
See the following datasheet https://industrial.panasonic.com/cdbs/www-dat … /AWF0000C30.pdf

Maybe Panasonic has also made the original filter. I think the majority of the components used by Roland came from Japan at that time.
Thus, Panasonic could also have made the original filter.
In the datasheet I found ELKEA103FA. I think this model could work.

I have already ordered and received the components.
They are slightly smaller than the original filters, but the contacts might just fit.

The attachment Size Comparison.jpg is no longer available

What do you think, is it a good idea to install the new filters?
Do you think they will work at all?
Would you fix that?

Here is the result after the repair.

I would say it looks much better.
The card is still working and I didn't notice a difference. 😀

Thank you Tiido, you have dispelled my last doubts.

Hi Jim, I’m in the same position. The exact 2 components have broken off. Unfortunately the ELKEA103FA is not sold anymore 🙁

If I was you I would move two of them around, put same ones on power and same ones on sound lines.

Can you recommend something other than the ELKEA103FA? You mentioned anything can be used but I’m not sure even where to start.

I have used these on one of my scb55s : ACF451832-103-TD01
but ofcourse it is also not stocked... I do have some spares so if it comes to that I can just ship you a couple

Thank you very much keropi. I’m going to try find something similar to your TDK version. If I don’t get anywhere then I may take you up on that offer. I’m more than happy to pay for the components plus shipping.

If you don’t mind, do you have any close up pictures of the ACF451832-103-TD01 installed on your card?

sadly I do not have this card anymore - but I remember that the size was an exact match , if that's what you are wondering about

No problem 😀 I just wanted to see what they looked like compared to the original components and to see how well they fit on the board.
