Anyone else ever get CPU-z or GPU-z working on really old systems like Windows 95? I got the 1.76 and 1.78 versions of CPU-z working, but both have their own issues. Like, 1.76 shows the 100MHz FSB, but doesn't report the Pentium III correctly. And using 1.78 shows the CPU correctly, but doesn't report the FSB at all, therefore doesn't report the CPU's current speed.

Can't even get GPU-z to work - it complains about missing DLLs. Would be nice to be able to pull up specs about your current graphics cards to compare from way back when.

I guess I'm just posting to post. It's like when you're sitting at home lonely and ripping DVDs to your PLEX server for the last two weeks and you're bored as crap and everyone else you know is currently employed at jobs and you just feel lonely and want someone to talk to.

My life is sad right now...

Just use cracked old version of Everest Ultimate or free Everest Home Edition.

I think older versions of CPU-Z should work nicely, 1.34.1 is my favorite 😀
GPU-Z... never worked in win9x.

Latest version of AIDA64 still works under 98SE natively. (ZIP version only)
It still ships with the 9x low-level driver. Which means all of the functionality is present, like built-in benchmarks, stress-test amongst other things.

As for 98FE/95? Never tested myself.

Latest version of AIDA64

It's trial and not really all that useful for extremely old hardware.

Newest CPU-z for Win98 didn't worked for my LGA 1366 platform under Win98SE (hardcrash + BSOD).
AIDA64 was the alternative :
