Reference design Radeon 7000 DDR is more or less on par with Riva TNT2 Ultra. But a bit CPU hungry though.

Was it ATI or Nvidia that got caught tweaking their drivers to run faster on the 3DMark tests?
Is this too much voodoo?
Both.

My Radeon 7000 Mac Edition PCI contains R100 GPU not RV100 which is VE.

Doesn't make any difference, unless you'll find a way to reflash it.

it does make a huge difference.
And there no need to find a way.
atiflash supports it out of the box.
Just get the bios file and flash it on the card.
I used the card to record the video above.

Yeah I shopped for a Mac PCI Radeon a couple years ago and it was tricky trying to get R100 instead of RV100. ATI naming confusion. The R100 model has a fan whereas the RV100 has just a heatsink.
BTW AFAIK the nicest R100 card is one with VIVO. Video I/O. It has dual composite ports. This card can have 64MB and runs at 200/200 clocks.

Any photos of the card?

Have a look at this thread: Matrox G400/G450 Quake III Performance
In it I posted my results for a G450 PCI versus a Radeon 7000 and a Radeon 7200 SDR running Quake 3. The 7000 is going to be faster than a G450, but if you can find a 32mb 7200 SDR for cheap get that instead.
An FX5500 is going to be significantly faster than any of those cards though.
Hi,
Sorry to bother again, but found on a local listing this Ati Pci graphics card. It seems to be a Radeon 7000 (not VE or Le), but I'm not 100% sure. Could it be a Mac edition maybe?
Maybe you guys can give a look, I know its not a sharp image but its from a local listing. I could ask the guy for more info, but I've dealt with him before and he is a real piece of work, as soon he sees you might be slightly interested in something he immediately duplicates even triplicates the price...
The Omega-Driver shows 43 Mhz SystemClock within Win9x on my R7000...when it comes to 3D the card seems to clock higher.
Retro-Gamer 😀 ...on different machines
Photos are possible!
i can not tell you which edition this card is, there is not much difference except for the text on the Backside of the Card (Mac Edition) and the BIOS Chip is bigger on Mac Edition

It looks an awful lot like this: https://www.priceblaze.com/375-3181-01.html
A fair few of those floating around. I have no idea if it can be flashed to PC.
Any shot of the backside?
