HP actually has a HP 9000 computer. HPUX machines.
Not the HAL 9000.

But it is a UNIX computer and does not get virus. I think the HP Windows computers tend to crash and get viruses.
HAL 9000 was probably a UNIX based computer.

Check out this HPUX login screen with a image of Saturn in the background.

Who was it who said that you could run a power station using a ZX81? The ZX81 was a black and white, silent British 8 bit computer, that came with 1KB of RAM, though you could increase it to 16KB, and maybe more.

I don't know, but you remember me of an old article (p.26) about measurement & control on a ZX81..
So yes, it doesn't sound too unbelievable. A single building or an elevator could be controlled by a ZX81, at least.
