Since AIM and MSN Messenger is dead and using facebook and discord on a web browser is almost impossible, does anyone know any good IM clients for 9x where I can chat using facebook, discord, etc? It is a shame that IM on 9x is almost all but dead.

I tried using Pidgin. The latest version that can work using KernelEx is 2.10.0. However, when I try to add the plugin dll's, they don't appear in the protocol drop down (see attachment).

Actually, AIM is coming back, someone started making servers to use it again recently. They call it AIM Phoenix. Currenlty using it with my 486 using the version 1.6 that comes with Netscape 4.08.

To connect change the server to phoenixim.ddns.net and the port to 5190

I used to use Miranda IM. I think it had a facebook plugin, no clue about Discord or other stuff. Miranda NG has taken over but I don't recall ever getting it work reliably on 98SE with KEX 4.5.x.
