Hello folks. I've recently come into possession of the aforementioned game, and for the uninitiated, this was the name of the PC port of the console game. You see, in the noughties, many publishers took the route of releasing games with identical titles on consoles and PC, but the PC version was difference, and in many cases vastly inferior. Shrek 2 was one such case, however Activision made the decision to also release a port of the console game.
In any case, Shrek 2 exhibits some unusual behavior. While playing the game casually, it seems to default at 38FPS during gameplay, but cutscenes run at the highest FPS they can, usually games would run at 60FPS during gameplay and impose an FPS cap for cutscenes. I was screwing around with ways to getting the game to run in windowed mode, and I decided to try out DxWnd. For some reason, the game was running at a true 60FPS! This doesn't stay for long, when certain cutscenes are triggered, it drops back down to is default 38FPS limit. So I've come here to ask the knowledgable people of Vogons if they know of any methods or hacks to play the game at 60FPS or above at all times? I can provide video proof of 60FPS gameplay, I believe I might be the first one to do as such.
