Does anyone have experience with webcams on Windows 95, 98, and other 90's OS's such as OS/2?

I have a Microsoft LifeCam VX-500 but I can't find drivers for it for Windows 98 - or any other MS webcam, for that matter.

I wonder whether there is some kind of generic driver that works for webcams on Win9x.

What webcams, in your experience, offer the most compatibility?

On Macintosh platform there's Macam, which worked with any of the late 90s/early 2000s webcams I tested.
For Windows 98SE I used to use 320x240 pels webcams such as the Trust Spacec@m, Pencam and these Logitech webcams.
I had them running along with ICQ5, if my memory serves me well. At school, I used to use some cheap camera that
was build inside a calculator (was useful in computer group). ^^
