Note it has a wavetable, so that attracted me to this card, and I was able to purchase very inexpensively.

I also got this card, it is VLB, it is Cirrus Logic, it wasn't too expensive, what is NOT to like about it.

Now I have to wait 6 weeks for them to get here *sigh*

Crysis is often perceived as just a tech-demo since it can be played as a regular shooter by just using the suits armor mode.

Playing around with the suit powers will reveal a unique and fun shooter.

That and it was really hated by salty console fanboys back in the day, who after calling it generic would brag on how their PS3s supposedly played games in 1080p because Cell and bluray 🤣

Crysis really is a fun game as are the other games in the series.

I always use the cloaking, speed, and armor modes. The power mode very rarely sees any use. I'm more of a stealth type player for most of the game.

Pretty much everyone were salty about Crysis back then. Nothing could reliably run it with a single GPU very high, 1080p@30fps until the Radeon HD5800 released. And I was just glad it ran better than STALKER at the time.

I had one of those from around 2005 up until 2009. We made some nice memories together in Crysis playing at around 9-11fps on the lowest settings.

Never played Crysis. Am I the only one?

I only know Crysis by name and seen jokes with it. I don't even know what it looks like or story line.

If you haven't played it, you definitely should do it today on a beefed up system. It's still a fantastic piece of tech and a very good game. At least the first 75% is.

It looks quite realistic even by todays standards, very playable everything maxed out on a new pc with a fast GPU and large screen.

Looks like a nice SS7 computer with AMD CPU.
Good for Windows98se build except fo that Terratec TV tuner / Sound card which I don’t know
If it has drivers for Win98 ?
Most PCI Terratec sound cards only have win98/Win2000 drivers.
I really like the crystal clear sound of the Terratec sound cards.

Yeah, this computer has Win98 installed and boots to it without problems. Well booted because as you can see it's no longer in one piece 😉
It has Win98 and Win2k Drivers: http://terratec.ultron.info/Receiver/TerraTV+/

CPU is K6-2 500Mhz.

Just picked up an EVGA e-GeForce 7800 GS CO AGP card. This is the lightly overclocked version (430MHz/1300MHz) as opposed to the standard 375MHz/1200MHz. There were faster versions though, but this should be an interesting card.

On the way home I grabbed second part of today's haul...

I didn't expected this PC20-III to be in such good shape! A bit of cleaning and it will look almost new.

Apparently all three in working condition, although the lowest one emits funny smells when powered on...

Yeah, but that "lowest one" is most definitely the most interesting looking. Damn that's a cool case.

I had their flagship "Superclocked" model (460/1350) back in the day and it really had great performance for an AGP card. It delayed me having to upgrade my motherboard for a year.

Yeah. I bought it only because it's looking like that - but also because of internals if I remember correctly (I don't exactly remember what it was and I'm not going to open it until tomorrow). Unfortunatelly case it's yellow and has some scratches on the cover but it's complete. I don't think I'm going to keep it though.

What revision is your motherboard? If it is revision 6 and higher, good. If 5 - not so good. Actually - pretty bad.
Just today I spent good 8 hours trying to revive this junk. I managed to revive dead address bus, select bus and data bus, tested and replaced all memory chips with its drivers but still no luck with POST. Madness level raised so high I actually wanted to launch the board out of the window and send something heavy right after it... 😁

And yes - the corner is missing. Somebody left a screw in the board and tore the mobo out of the case. Luckily it didn't hurt anything critical.

I don't know yet - I will open it tomorrow. I briefly connected it to some TV via composite but no signal - I havn't checked the dip switches though. Anyway I think it posts, because It does this famous chirpy sound like Commodore PET.

Edit: It's Rev. 6.2A - checked on the auction pic... what's the difference between 5 and 6?

Diablotek ATI Rage 128Pro 32mb Pci video card.

Its for an old Dell Dimension L700cx skt370 win98 system from 2000 that has only PCI slots.

I replaced the original Celeron 700/128/66 cpu with a Pentium3 500/256/100 cpu, upgraded the original 64mb pc100 mem to 256mb pc133 mem, kept the original creative ct5807 pci card for basic sound, added a 2port ALI chipset usb2.0 pci card, also keeping the 48x dcrom, 3.5'' floppy and original 145w power supply.

This is going to be used for the most basic of win98 gaming, currently running with the integrated intel 810e onboard video for now just to get it up and running, a few DOS games installed thats working great, doom/doom2/duke nukem 3d/wolfenstein 3d/quake/needforspeed R&T and descent(minor graphical glitches), i also have heretic/hexen and blood, not installed yet, but im sure they will work just fine.

Fun fact. DiabloTek made a 128MB DDR Radeon 7500 PCI.

Ridiculous. More RAM than a 7500 of any type had any business having.

That's exactly the difference. Between revision 5 and 6 they significantly redesigned the board. Instead of using 16× 41256 and 4× 4464 they used 8× 4464, which is way more compact and logical. And quite less power hungry. Also they shuffled some chips around (like coprocessor - has been shifted down), motherboard got chip names written on it (Frank'n'mouse is the most obvious) and mainly they used WAY more stable batteries (never seen one leaked on the revision 6 while I have never seen revision 5 not being eaten by electrolyte). Instead of using those super unreliable WD93028 they started installing Seagate ST325A/X which I have never seen go bad. Basically - you got the top notch machine 😁

Edit: Just noticed - some work has been done on your computer. Those upper memory register chips has been changed in the past, Commodore never used CMOS chips in their computers. Interesting...
