Quake II RTX
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1089130/Quake_II_RTX/

MINIMUM:
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, or higher

It seems an RTX card is not actually required. From what I can tell, you can disable "RTX" in the game and then it's just good old Quake 2?

It's a demo yes but if you have the original Quake II then its a full game. You have to add the original Q2 data files. You also need an Nvidia RTX card to fully enjoy it as it was intended for RTX card owners but any card *should* work. After looking at the comments on Steam, it doesn't work that great using ray tracing. I'll give it a shot later on my RX 580

You can get the stand alone here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/campaigns/quake-II-rtx/

edit: Just tried it, looks like you need a ray tracing gpu as it says but apparently it can be played with a 10xx series?. I wonder if that will rule out AMD ray tracing cards when they come (Navi?).

It won't work well on anything that doesn't support ray tracing with hardware support. This game is the real deal full path tracing not tricks like other RTX games so far so nothing older than a 2070+ is going to do this any justice.

"Back to Bed" free on Indiegala. It's a fun puzzle-platformer:

You might have to log in first to see the "Add to library" and "Direct download" links.

Many of Mike Hommel (Hamumu)'s older games are available on his website and itch.io for free. This includes Eddie Galaxy (A.K.A Intergalactic Exterminator), Amazin' SPISPOPD, Castle Smash and Kid Mystic. If you had any eGames disks you may remember some of these.

There some REALLY good games, some of them were never finished.

- I liked XENON2000 (BitmapBrothers) Music is bad compared to the originale Xenon1 and 2, but gfx looks good. https://archive.org/details/Xenon_2000_Project_PCF
- DX-Boulder was REALLY great, stutterfree scrolling on P200 and above (Win95-DX5). http://www.steffest.com/dxboulder/
- GianaWorlds was also REALLY great. https://archive.org/details/GianaWorlds_1020

Thanks for the links, DosFreak. However the Steam forum discussion pages seem to have moved to steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum, so you may want to update the links above.

It's a prototype. It's free. I like it. Tetris meets dungeon crawler. Work your brain and your hands. You can play in the browser or download it. Looking forward to this being fleshed out some more.

LINK REMOVED

Sorry, this site does not seem to be licensed by Rockstar Games to be offering this.

I understand this is to some degree the same free content that used to be here: http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/ (see web.archive.org)
But Rockstar used to require age and email submission as a requirement to download them, this site does not... plus Rockstar no longer offers them at that site.

Link removed.
