Hello Everyone! My name is Victor, i'am from Russia, so don't be a mad about my language (I studied French at school, but .. I forgot it: D).
So this is my history about that build.
A friend called me at one moment - he is talking about an old PC that he wants to take to the trash, but maybe i check him i find some interesting stuff. And Yes, i find 😊
Is was be AMD K6-2 500+ AFX, DFI P5BV3+ (forget revision) 32 + 64 mb pc100 RAM, AGP S3 Savage 3D card and Ensoniq 1370 PCI Sound Card, and typical case for then time.
So i change fan one the CPU, make some overclock for 550 mhz, turn on the 100 mhz FSB, find PC133 256 Mb Ram, and Voodoo 3 1000. But is not a end of my story 😁

I starting reading about super socket 7 platform, searching information, (other thanks for Phills Coumputer Lab). Some time later i already know about K6-3+ CPU's, about motherboards with FSB around 120-125 mhz... And i want build PC with this stuff. So i try find this... And for six months... This is what I built at the moment.

AMD K6-3+ ATZ@400 mhz 1.6 V (embedded CPU) (22$) overclocked to 575 mhz (115x5) 2.2V
ASUS P5A-B with 120 mhz FSB (20$)
Same 256 Mb of Ram
Brand new OEM AGP Voodoo 3 3000 card (50$)
Thermaltake Chrome Orb (5$)
Hitachi 30 Gb Hard Disk

In this momen i try find the Aureal Vortex 2, and think about wich is best settings - 1) Don't change overclocking congfig - 115*5 with L3 cache on the board, and stock Voltage on Chipset and AGP (3D Mark 99 = 8700 Cpu Marks) or 2)120*5 without L3 cache (Windows does not load until you turn off L3 Cache in BIOS) and with 3.8V voltage on Chipset and AGP (i think is too much) (3D Mark 99 = 9200 Cpu marks). What you think Guys?

P.S About HDD - waiting the chinesse converter MSATA to IDE, want try to use MSATA SSD in this build))

Greetings from Poland! and wow, nice beast! What operating system is it running? I would prefer Windows 2000 SP4 for this computer. The computer should handle it very well, although for more productive software from the era (not games) like Microsoft Visual Studio, 3DS Max & stuff like that the system will suffer from the low memory. 512 MB would be perfect!

Please post more photos of the case 😀
I'm interested in the benchmark results from Aida as well! 😁 Windows 2000 can handle Aida64 3.00.2514 Beta
The complete compatibility matrix: https://www.oldapps.com/aida64.php?supported_systems=true

PC1: Highscreen => FIC PA-2005, 64 MB EDO RAM, Pentium MMX 200, S3 Virge + Voodoo 2 8 MB
PC2: AOpen => GA-586SG, 512 MB SDRAM, AMD K6-2 400 MHz, Geforce 2 MX 400

Hi mate! They runing on the 98SE with Patches. I make that build for the old games from my childhood. For 200SP4 i have another build on Pentium 3-S and Radeon 8500. Anyway - in this moment is a typical late 90's case.

I want use the ATX Power supply in this AT Case, but i don't know what i can do with power and reset buttons.

Here is some benchmarks results

Nice scores. I did some testing on my Toshiba Portege 7200 equipped with Pentium 3 @ 650 MHz and my scores are lower 😵 That's probably because of the mobile version, but anyway impressing.

I plan to build something similar, but 512 MB is a must for me. Sadly, I don't have Voodoo 3, instead GeForce 3 or 4 will be installed and probably K6-2 500 MHz / AFX.

PC1: Highscreen => FIC PA-2005, 64 MB EDO RAM, Pentium MMX 200, S3 Virge + Voodoo 2 8 MB
PC2: AOpen => GA-586SG, 512 MB SDRAM, AMD K6-2 400 MHz, Geforce 2 MX 400

You can make or buy converters like the one below, This is just the first result from google, not saying its the best
