ASUS/FKI FK603. Most beautiful case I could find.
IMG-20191028-220828.jpg
It features some kind of 'know how' approach in noise protection (though I still can hear my stock P3 cooler -- but not as loud as without the case), and dedicated plastic back panel shield.

Looks like these mid-late 90s Pavilions

ATI Mach32
3COM NIC (forgot the model #)
AWE32 CT2760
Gravis Ultrasound ACE
MediaVision Pro Audio Studio16
LG 52x CDROM
Mitsumi 3.5inch FDD

* Added in this year
SDCard-IDE adapter
USB-FDD adapter
FSP300-60PLN

Used to have f-ton of P2/ P3 CPU, mobo, ram to run beowulf for an errand in 2009.
After the job done, dumped almost everything away except this one and some sound cards.
Saved them into a storage and forgot about it up until when I had to move out.

There were many moments when all these oldies were to sold out or dumped off, but my strong attachment to the soundcards kept clinging back.
Happened to open all up in October this year and found two Quantum HDDs, a Seventeam PSU, and a mobo battery gone bad.
Took 'em out and added some modern love to it. SDCard and USB FDD works like black magic. Woo-Hoo!
It's bit dusty, but vintage without some dust on?

c'mon.

My IBM ThinkPad 380D (TFT Active) with my Packard Bell mouse and keyboard attached to it (the PS/2 adapter I bought for $3 was worth every penny).

My Athlon64 build, finally rehoused in a NOS beige ATX case..

Athlon64-01.jpg Athlon64-02.jpg Athlon64-03.jpg Athlon64-3-DMark2001.jpg

It's not a good case, but it's beige simple and lacks front panel audio/usb crap. I can actually buy a few more of these for real cheap, like 12 bucks a piece.. maybe I should?

This is the one without the AGP slot right? If it is, I had trouble finding a PCI accelerator (besides Voodoo) that would make it more of a gaming rig. I had plenty of AGP cards, but nothing for the PCI (besides the Voodoo cards). 😵

Radeon 7000/VE PCI are fairly common and cheap.

I was stuck with an Aptiva 2153 as the family computer right up until 2005. Took a photo of the internals in December 2007 before dad took it to recycling (it was old enough to be junk but not old enough to be vintage). 😢

Yeah certainly is, only 2x expansion slots (2xISA, 1xPCi). Although this was really more of an opportunity find than a planned purchase...I would have gone for a build around an AthlonXP if I was doing such a thing, so.lack of decent 3d options is not really an issue.

But couldn't resist a bit of real big blue (even if it's really just an acer in truth) and I could never afford a K6-2 as a kid...had to make do with a Cyrix.

Trying to get my head around why it hangs after post 9 times out of 10 right now but that's a post for another thread

Speaking of crippled super socket 7 systems, here is my K6-2/500 build with an MVP4 mATX motherboard that doesn't have enough slots for me to run my Voodoo 2 SLI configuration 😒 I hope to find an ATX MVP3 board for cheap at some point..
