Oh those are really old. I use 4.35 for MVP3 and 4.43 for Apollo Pro. Can you upload 4.26 here?

Thanks. Saved it for future testing.

Not exactly a night and day difference between 4.26 and 4.33 though. Makes me wonder what changes were made between these revisions.

Cool, I'll keep it handy, I plan to install a Riva 128 and Voodoo2 on my MVP3 system!

After the mvp3 round up, I tested my QDI Advance 10T (Via Apollo pro 133T) with some 4in1 drivers. The rest of the system is: Pentium 3 866, 512mb pc133 cl2, geforce4 ti4200 (I wanted a cpu limit condition), windows 98 SE.

I tested 4in1 from v4.32 (the version used at the time on reviews), v4.43, v4.45, v4.46, v4.49, v4.51. For version 4.32 the agp has been installed on turbo mode. After every release test, 4in1 has been disinstalled from it's installer, results on q2 (opengl) are pratically the same at 640 and 1024

Very suttle differences. Do some of these driver versions use AGP fast write and sidebanding?

Well to be honest i'm sure that the first version if installed in turbo mode enables fastwrite, but from v4.43, the option is gone, you can just choose if install the agp drivers or not.

VIA KT133 is the 4.43 recommended, also for the KX133 Slot A chipset?

I just realized that 4.35 makes my VA-503+ (MVP3) reboot when I select "Restart in MS-DOS mode." Clean install with only Norton Ghost and 4-in-1 driver.

"Restart in MS-DOS mode" works when 4-in-1 is not installed.

Going to try 4.26 tomorrow.

- For VIA MVP3, MVP4, Apollo 133 - use 4 in 1 4.35 or older. - better AGP compatibility and performance. Don't use any nvidia driver newer then 5x.xx!!!! 6x.xx drivers for example don't mesh well with 4 in 1 drivers and might bsod
- For VIA Apollo PRO, KT133 and KT266 use 4.43
- For KT333, KT400, KT600, KT880 and newer use 4.56 under Windows 98 - you should manually install all devices (CPU to AGP bridge, CPU to PCI bridge, etc) - sometimes they don't install correctly. Newer chipsets will work well under 98 with the newest drivers (Hyperion PRO 5.xx) - again, you might have to manually install the bridges from the device manager. For Win XP use Hyperion PRO 5.23 / 5.24A

PCChips M577, Socket 7, VIA MVP3, Win98: Using a PCI graphics card leads to a black screen at Windows boot. Restarting in safe mode and installing VIA 4in1 4.35 fixed this issue. Version 4.26 still has this problem.

Asus A8V, Socket 939, VIA K8T800, Win98: The 4-in-1 version 4.51 that comes bundled with the motherboard CD does not enable AGP acceleration in dxdiag. Version 5.21A works. Version 5.24A (the latest) refuses to install.
