Hi, I'm a new guy here so please be kind
Let's start with system specification as that may help with troubleshooting
Intel Pentium 2 MMX @ 266 MHz
SOYO SY-D6IBA motherboard
128MB PC100 SDRAM
20GB HDD
300W FSP PSU
Asus V7100 Pro/64MB GPU on AGP
BTC-1853L Sound Card ISA (ESS Audiodrive 1868F chip)
Windows 98SE (no DOS installed at the moment)
So after troubleshooting myself with IRQ and DMA issues under Win98SE and hours of switching drivers (as W98 recognise card as ESS 1688 Audiodrive, but DOS recognise ESS 1868), my final tally is that W98 have drivers installed and while it shows no errors in Device Manager, card is not visible in Multimedia settings or in Volume Control TL;DR no sound in W98 at all. In DOS different story, MIDI works, but no digital sound or voice, and cannot connect to default addresses, IRQ or DMA, either games crashes or when try to get to setup it refuse to use preset values. I've setup my Autoexec.bat and Config.sys accordingly but not luck. Can anyone help brother here please
