Hi,
i completed a new project : CrystalBlaster C1
This was created with the help of a friend Ivo, hence the name "Ivo Limited Edition".
It has a 90s low end wavetable synthy sound, as it uses the Crystal CS9236 chip :
CS9236 specifications :
- General MIDI (GM) compliant
- 32-note polyphony at 44.1kHz rate
- Independent reverb and chorus levels for each MIDI channel
- 128 melodic instruments and 47 percussion sounds
I recorded a demo (grab bag from duke nukem 3d) :

In my opinion, it is a fun soldering project with a unique sound,
but the dreamblasters certainly do sound more realistic..
I will make some available as an easy 100% through hole solder kit (I will presolder the SMT DAC)
