I have managed to get Civ 1 to run on Dosbox, but it has started crashing. It only crashes on the City Screen, usually when I try and select an improvement to build for the city.

Can anyone help?

What did you try yet?
loadfix, low cycles, disabling sound?

What did you do? It ran out of the box for me, on dosbox .63 and .65 for 2 different versions of civ1...

version 475.01/1.301

Anyway everything worked, played though it several times... Improvements and all...

Maybe your civ is corrupt?

I don't want to mention any abandonware sites, but I'll mention the sister site of one, that has only freeware and remakes.
