I am curious if anyone here had one of these, and if so, what did they end up upgrading to over the years ?

These two are the same headphones, just the Blaze one doesn't use the Fatality brand anymore. I have been using the Fatality ones for 10 years and they are falling apart and left side is crackling on low frequencies. They are very cheaply made and were only $30, but the sound was good and I would hate to spend $50 or more on something that is not an improvement. I would prefer something with cloth earpads, because leather is too warm.

I had I think an older version of the Fatal1ty... or maybe it was a newer pair. Both my brother-in-law and I had a pair. They didn't last very long.

After that I got a pair of Sennheiser Momentum over-ear and a mod-mic 5... after my son's cheapo headset broke, I passed those down to him and got the Sennheiser HD630VB.

The sound quality of every "gaming" headset I have ever tried is absolute crap compared to a real set of cans.

Yeah, but looking at the price of those Sennheiser HD630VBit it is not a fair comparison.

The HD 630VB still looks pretty gimmicky for my tastes. The HD 559 is a hundred bucks MSRP brand new (which means you can probably find a pair for even less) and dispenses with bass control and all the other silly crap to just be a pair of damn good headphones for not all that much money. Signal goes in, sound comes out, with no frills in between.

I got started with a pair of HD 555s and have exclusively used Sennheiser's pure audiophile headphones since then (currently I use the Massdrop HD 6XX, which is exactly the same as the flagship HD 650 but for less money).
