I have heard stories regarding tantalum capacitors exploding with the possibility of nasty side effects (other than taking an eye out). So I was wondering if it is worth replacing them on old motherboards, i.e, not with different ones but the same ones, like for like.
Apologies if this is a dumb question, I do not know much about electronic but I value some of my old boards quite a bit and if there is something that can be done to extend their life expectancy I'd love to know.
