I saw this card up for sale on an auction site. It is listed as an Geforce 8800 Ultra.
However, it does not look like an 8800 Ultra to me. The shroud looks like a fairly common 8800 GTX, which may be an OEM model, but I'm not sure.
The back of the card has a sticker that does say it's an 8800 Ultra. However, on the shroud of the card, there is sticker with the model number DCV-00187-N4-GP. When I lookup this number online, it shows it to be an 8800 GTX.
I also Googled the 8800 Ultra and I could not find any 8800 Ultra's with this type of shroud.
What's going on here? Did someone put an 8800 GTX fan shroud on an 8800 Ultra PCB? I'm not sure why anyone would do this, unless the shroud on the 8800 Ultra broke.
Or, did someone put false stickers on the back of the card to make it look like an 8800 Ultra so that they could sell it for more money?
