None of my Versa have leaked at all (40EC, V/50, M/75, P/75). I have heard via Beige-O-Vision's video that the Bridge batteries in these can leak. They are located above the HDD tray. The main battery can also corrode but it's so well sealed you won't know until you pop the cover. The main batteries are NiMH and well sealed. They are also still seemingly readily available rebuilt/new for around $50 so you can still replace rather than rebuild with new cells. The newer batteries seem to have better maH than stock as well (4400 vs. 3400 - and around 2hrs vs. 1.5hrs).
The CMOS Batteries on these are all lithium Ion Coin cells....per below....
Ultralite (PC-410/420/430-XXXX) - CR2302 size soldered to the bottom of CPU board, could replace with a holder easily
E-series (PC-440/450/460-XXXX) - CR2430, socketed, on top of CPU Board
V-Series (PC-7xx) - CR2430, socketed, under Memory Door (longer cover than usual)
M-Series (PC-470/480/570-XXXX) - Mac style Tadiran Barrel with Molex connector located under cage in Battery Bay
P-Series (PC-490-XXXX) - CR2430, molex, located under keyboard on metal subframe over battery board
