Got it off of eBay, put a 2 GB Compact Flash card in to replace the hard drive and spent a good three hours getting a boot disk that *worked* and didn't demand I get a CD-ROM. So I get MS-DOS 6.22 installed, boot it up and I get stuck on this. Like just sits there saying that, doesn't go forward.
I'm sorry that my first post is a tech question, but I just can't find any solutions and I don't really know what to do.
Edit - So I decided to take photos of all the stages my comp goes through (All two of them).
Also here is my BIOS info - My BIOS is Version 07.32, SystemSoft BIOS for OPTI Viper 557/558N 1.01 (2450-75) if that helps at all. Also added more detailed pictures to my original post.
Stage 1: What I assume to be the BIOS/POST. Hangs here for a few seconds to like half a minute, I don't really time it. It's slow but it eventually boots to the second screen.
Stage 2: No idea what this is called. But it hangs here and doesn't advance. Never displays a line below telling me that the External Cache is enabled.
Edit 2: I just took a shower and let it sit at Stage 2 for an hour - nothing. Still hanging on that screen.
Edit 3: Issue fixed. Compact Flash card is NOT MS-DOS compatible. Installed onto HDD and it worked perfectly.
