Hey dont get me wrong Im really grateful that you would take the time to do this Im just very enthusiastic. I would probably be in for one maybe two of them.

The cost matters, but if it's close to the SIMMConn solution and takes less space, I'm sure 30-40 would move in a second and more over time.
Hello I would be in the market for one of these, whether onboard memory or socketed. However I would need to make payment pretty soon.

Then you've got a long time to wait. No one has officially stepped up and said they'll create this or even mass produce it.
It's just "Theory crafted" or in the idea phase right now pretty much.

Although its hard to translate forum interest into actual money, I would imagine the interest to be more than just 20 pieces, unless the price was extremely high. I'd say go Kickstarter or something, where people have to put money where their mouth is.
I find myself late to the Simmconn party. I wish they would make more or somebody else would make a comparable unit for a reasonable price.
(Subscribing to this thread in the hope that it happens some day.)
I thought about making some.
But I don't know we're to begin making the PCB.
Hi,
I logged into circuitmaker but could not find 'SIMMCONN_GOLD'
is it still there ?
Visit http://www.serdashop.com for retro sound cards, video converters, ...

Here is a direct link. Double checked that it was accessible without logging in.

From the web page, you can only download the original and the Altium files.
To get to the Circuitmaker design, you must install Circuitmaker, run it, log in and open the project from within Circuitmaker.
https://workspace.circuitmaker.com/
There is a download button up on the top right hand of the screen to download and install Circuitmaker.
Once it is installed, run it, log in, and then search for simmconn. Open the project and then select "Open Design"
The project is set to Public Read so anybody should be able to open it.

Yeah it says 'modified and locked by someone else'.
I'll pm you.

a small step closer, generated gerbers, validated at eurocircuits
(not 100% sure it is all correct, do you see problems ?)

I'd have to dig out my old Athlon dos system and see but I thought the original design had some sort of "chip" between the two interfaces and the memory slot? am I wrong? I don't even know what the chip did, just thought it had something there.
EDIT: Yeah.. is on the other side of the PCB though. I knew it had something on it.
I would also be interested in SIMMconn adapters
But that's depending on the price.
okay, going to make a few prototypes, at least 😀

will use 22 deg SIMM adapter instead of straight up.
there's some stock of PALCE16V8H7 here and there...
so will buy a suitable programmer for PALCE16V8H7 (https://www.kanda.com/products/wellon/VP-598.html)

Great to hear. I'm offer to help, but I'm not sure what I could do.

I'll check to see if I have any in the "old parts" bin. But I'm gone this weekend. So I wont be able to get back to you until next week.
