Oh my, I had and used that same model keyboard ages ago, model-M without the bulk! The click-clack used to drive my parents nuts during late night IRC-sessions. 😀
I tossed it when keys started registering before they "klicked"; super annoying, though I wish I had tried to repair it instead.

Is yours fully functional? Mine failed on the enter-key first. It got so bad that if just gave the key a stern look it would register a key press.
"Are you sure you want to perform action X?" Me: "oh, that's not what I..." Keyboard: "ENTER!!!". That's when it went into the bin, hehe.

Wait... 4 screens? Did somebody say gaming? I'd be amazed if those monitors work. If I find about 4 on one stand at a thrift store for a good price, I'd buy it in a heartbeat (also with the DVI and VGA Y-splitters for the multiple monitor setup (don't know if Windows 95 would support that or not, but that'll be amazing). Or just the stand to put 2 of my 21.5" displays on one row, and my 19" widescreen displays on the last row. Also, imagine streaming via Chromecast onto 4 monitors at once, or watching movies or TV shows on multiple displays.

Those monitors can do 4:3*, 5:4*, and/or 16:9 easily, and the resolution for those monitors is 1920x1080

* great for MS-DOS games and older Windows OSes that don't support the higher resolutions and/or games for Windows.

I have the 19" widescreen variant as well, and those monitors are considered professional monitors for movies, businesses, and other stuff (especially for PC gamers). Excellent score, BTW!

I just got home and I found an old thinkpad in the bin. Look at all those scratches. No power source though, so I hope I'll find something in storage that allows me to test it.

Speaking of ThinkPads that don't work, my ThinkPad R40 wouldn't turn on, and I found out the one memory module that was installed went bad. I removed the memory module, smoke tested the laptop, and it sprang to life. I was lucky that I got that laptop from the thrift store. I've had the laptop for close to 2 years now, upgraded the RAM, and reinstalled XP Pro w/ SP3 and the drivers by using the unattended installation, activated it, and it's fully up-to-date.

I found a power source that made the laptop turn on. It is 19V though and you are suppose to use 16V with this laptop. Am I going to damage the laptop if I keep on using it with 19V power source?

Our local DIY-store has an electronics recycle bin. Usually it's full of old toasters (not running NetBSD) and burnt-out power tools. But today was computer day it seems. Someone had dumped a 2005-vintage P4 system that was in a bad state - the case was dented, it looks like they tried to ram it into the slot of the bin, which was wide, but not wider-than-average-ATX-case wide. Poor Coolermaster. The motherboard was some Asus thing with far too much bling and pointless heatsinks - but no good capacitors. Rows of them around the socket all burst. Couldn't be bothered to recap that beast, so left it there. Did however take the USB card reader as I had been contemplating buying one this morning. As usual, when one thing deviates from regular patterns, it starts attracting other stuff, so there was a little pile of computer stuff around the case. I snaffled up an Aztech PCI338-A3D Aureal Vortex card (with Packard Bell part number from a 'Hercules' series Pulsar or Platinum model) and an internal Zip drive with Apple markings and Apple-grey transparent faceplate:

Nice score. I especially like the ZIP drive, didn't know such ones existed but I do remember that transparent plastic Apple was using at the time 😜
I didn't even know old PCs could even be dumped there.

My supply of interesting stuff seems to be pretty dry lately, but I did grab this beige tower from one of my usual places. I got hopeful when I saw the Duron sticker on the front but it turned out to be a Thunderbird 1200 on a really basic Asus A7V. Looks like there's some kind of VRM board fitted to accommodate the upgrade.

To be honest I'm completely meh on this thing. The Tbird 1200 is a cool chip (I remember when these were the absolute fastest thing you could get your hands on!), but I just can't think of anything fun I'd want to do with it, especially on such a bare-bones board. Even though it has the Via 82C686A there's no onboard audio header (solder pads are there) and no sign of the DOS compatible audio options in the BIOS. And of course there's no ISA slots. Won't work for DOS, I have better gear to play with Linux or FreeBSD on, and my limited Win98 needs are fully met. I think this one might go back to the waste pile.

I did harvest a Creative CD-ROM and GF4 MX440 from the other PC in the pile, it looked a little newer & was running an Athlon (probably XP) on a much better featured Gigabyte GA7V8XP. Same story, too much useless gear already and I can't think of anything I'd want to do with that. (The GF4 was so generic I had to take the heat sink off just to see what it was!)
