Thank you everyone for good hints. I have been busy with other stuff (my hobbies include 80s cars...) so apologies for the delay in response.

I ordered and received Weller tips DX110 and DX112. It seems this did the trick. The tip I was using was far too large. With DX110 I was able to easily desolder few caps.

Anyways given the complexity of this multilayer card and the the fact it still works I decided to skip the recapping for now. I'll focus on other device repairs (my old crt and some car stereos) and cars now.
