You HAVE actual DOS.

as I just said I can't install Windows 95 on my IBM Aptiva, the CD image that I downloaded has a corruptive command.com file

Mw2 will run fine on 98. There's no need for 95 or dosbox.
Just run the installer on the Mw2 CD.

The original title of this thread was "make dosbox easier" and your stated goal was to run mechwarrior 2.
