The topic is not M912 board, which has no COASt module (M919 has one, read carefully!) nor PCChips boards with fake chips. And I'm not out of luck, my M912 is with real and socketed cache chips 😜

They merged with Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) and in the early '00s there were identical models boards branded PCChips or ECS. So they're still here under the ECS brand 😁

Enough offtopic. I suggest you to open another thread for Hsin Tech/PCChips fake chache boards, but there are not so many models as haters claim.

Pretty sure they always were ecs. Pcc was just one of their brands.

I don't own every PCChips mobo model and revision, so this one is new to me. Again, same stupid trick with COASt slot and fake "cache" write-back advertising plastics as in the newer M919 revisions. I think their plastic "cache" stupidity peaked with M666 board - a PII Xeon board with fake cache with no real need of any onboard cache 😁

Im not happy with any PCchips in general 😀 They tried really hard to create a lemon market, thankfully press and shops quickly caught on.
