Strange. The version I have is dated 4/27/93. I think it came off of my original floppies, but I can't be 100% sure at the moment. Trying it with the latest DOSBox CVS and with 0.63 I didn't experience a crash, but I did notice some odd things that I don't remember seeing before:
- As soon as I start the game, I hear a rapid ticking sound for the first several seconds
- Horizontal scrolling in the intro gets reall really jerky under high CPU load on my system. When DOSBox isn't vying for my CPU it seems to do okay
- The fade-in/fade-out effects on the login screen and world map screen are very, very slow. This also happens in the NTVDM
- In DOSBox 0.63 (don't know about CVS), the mouse was extremely choppy on the world map unless I reduced cycles below 650 or so (dynamic core) but then of course the game itself ran slow
Note that I ran `ULTRA !` and chose 80486, Roland music (I have an MT-32) and Sound Blaster sound.
