Great Hierophant you can try adding D=40 after emm386.exe in config.sys for that stuttering of digitized sound in sherlock holmes (at least game's manual says about it for sound blaster)

Although I cannot force holmes to run with TL dac sound. The game just freezes for a while like it was in dosbox 0.73, just doesn't flood the status window with dac commands like it was in 0.73. Have you done anything special for setting it to work? Also dosbox doesn't detect tx in setup, although tx works however produces extremally dstorted sound.
