It's probably not going to work. UNIVBE is the biggest piece of shit in the universe, and VESA isn't much better.

Well, regular VESA modes with a decent card under DOS work fine. I'd classify UNIVBE as "mostly useless". Once in a 1000 occasions it helps.

Well I shouldn't have used that word. Maybe "real". Considering VESA's a standard, if you say your mode is VESA (but it doesn't work) then it's not really VESA.
