See if you can try what I suggested in an earlier post first borgie83, take the double sided ram from one of your other BX440 builds and install it in the Gigabyte board; hopefully it will behave itself with the right kind of ram.

Question; why does this 133mhz ram which is CL2 recognise as CL3? Bios limitation or is it because of the issue with single sided ram?

Most likely the ram issue (it detects incompatible ram and defaults to safe settings), but it could also be the Bios - or both.

unless the ram has really funky issue which is possible it should be detect the same amount each time consistently.
