Update:

A few of the parts I've ordered arrived, so I can start building and I'll be posting photos soon!

I also managed to find a Voodoo 5 5500 PCI, so I've updated my parts list with that card.

Today I'm testing that card using my other PC.

Seeing V5 5500 next to a GTX 1080 is odd, but the difference in size and weight of those cards is ridiculous.

Windows 98 is not what comes to mind when I look at your photos.

This isn't the target machine for Win98, just testing V5 5500 card that will go into it and I've thought to post some pictures.

I've just put the motherboard, GPUs and IDE-to-SD adapter into a modern case. I'll post photos later today, still waiting for CPU, PSU and a soundcard.

I have been thinking of building something for similar purpose except that I go bit different route because I think I want the motherboard have win98 drivers availlable which means that there won't be any yellow exclamation marks in the device manager. Otherwise it doesn't feel like a win98 system to me.

Nice to see this progressing! I have a V5500 myself, but the AGP version, so you've definitely lucked out with the PCI one for those old Windows 98 games. Looking forward to seeing this complete.
