The driver doesn't come bundled with the DirectX redistributable, but that should already be installed on the emulated computer. Besides, the last one that doesn't require DX7 is dated 21 Oct 1999.

hm. so do these 2 come with DirectX 6 redistributable? or do all of them don't come with redistributed DirectX 6?
None of them come with the redistributable, just only the driver.
so if I downloaded this one on emulated win 98, it will install DirectX 6, or do I have to install DirectX 6 manually?
If it is the Windows 98 SE, it will come with DX6 installed already.

Simply download DX7.0 or DX7.0a, put it in an ISO file, open it in PCem and install it.
No need to mess around with older drivers, specially a super old one like 1.00.
Indeed, this is the first thing that I said to the OP regarding the drivers he originally installed. That should be easily understandable to everyone.
ok I'll try the DirectX 7 and the DirectX 6 versions of voodoo 3. I will give an update on it later!
