Found a good video showing how to desolder ISA slot from the mobo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hStIrdagIJs
I think the same technique can be applied to desolder PCI slot. Note that the process described in the video requires the use of desoldering iron w/ built-in vacuum pump.

Yes, I use iron with vacuum pump.
