Sorry for creating multiple threads due to its so many posts (ppl asked me to do so). I spent a whole year to search useful information for building my DOS & Glide gaming rig so I couldn't do anything on my old & new thread other than PM. Recently, I decided to mix with modern & retro stuffs for building my rig in order to save some $$ and time (inspired by Phil's scheme). However, I have some challenges with using multiple sound cards in one rig and I can't figure it out what to do. I'm not sure whether I'm just stick with Sound Blaster AWE 64 Gold ISA & Aureal Vortex 2 PCI (w SC-55mkII) or using three sound cards as I planned (w SC-55mkII). Are 7.1 speakers and headphones necessary for Win 98 SE rig (cuz I have a 7.1 speakers in my house, I'm also have 2 channel speakers too but it became broken one for unknown reason) 😕?

This rig will be non speed sensitive 1996-Early 2000 DOS & Glide gaming rig. I will build another gaming rig which is speed sensitive pre 1996 gaming rig (486 rig)
