Does Quake III benefit from SMP? Is there a way to make it run in multi-core mode?

Thanks, I want to try and see if it does anything in my Dual P3 setup. I have a Ti4200 in it, so it should theoretically have a lot of headroom that's bottlenecked by a P3-866, maybe two of them will help.
