Busy day today again, The TNT Riva arrived very quickly which was nice!

Promptly installed and greeted by its lovely BIOS screen

Got into Windows and obviously, it looked like hell! So i needed to go grab some drivers. Rather oddly though I only had 1 CD-R left so i did my best to find drivers from on here, A few Nvidia ones and even got the Creative TNT ISO files extracted and put onto the CD.

But then i remembered... the orignal CD drive doesn't work. So i had to add the other it came with which i didn't really want to add to the machine but hell i need a drive so screw it.

Once i got into windows and the drive was confirmed working I went ahead and installed the Creative TNT drivers but unfortunately these installed CT8xxx series or something whereas mine is a CT6700 so it made no difference at all.

So, onto the actual Nvidia TNT drivers, I tried them and turns out they were the AGP series of drivers so again, no joy.

So now I've stuck with a very messy device manager

On top of this i can't for the life of me get it to change its language. I tried via the control panel but it always stays in Italian so i think a new Windows 95 install is in order but again no CD-R's ... and yeah I know what you are thinking, just go grab some well I'm broke at the moment so sadly i will have to wait for a while now.

Pretty disheartened to be honest. I really wanted to try Dark Omen out on this little thing. But turns out I have a ton of work ahead before i can even entertain that idea.

Sucks...

For anyone interested, this has kinda continued over here: Re: Help with drivers

Certainly worth a read if you like really random, crazy issues.
