In 2dmark 2005 there is no outright winner; the video card is seriously bottlenecking even the KT7A-raid system! For this benchmark to actually get NO video card bottleneck something along the lines of 8800GTX/9800GTX would be required! I don't know of any NVidia AGP video card that can score at least 10.000 points at default resolution and settings.

29. 3Dmark tests are finished, we switch to TOM2D a graphics device interface test to evaluate how good is the system in 2D tasks such as working on the Windows desktop. I thank swaaye for recommending this test back in 2018 when I started this project!
As always:
1. nforce1: NV7-133R + sound storm
2. nforce1: NV7-133R + creative live
3. KT133A: KT7A-raid
4.AMD760: KG7-raid
5. KT266A: KR7A-133R

Finally nforce1 scores a victory! Together with Creative Live Nvidia wins first place! Second place goes to AMD760 - 9% behind the leader.
Third place goes to NVidia with sound storm APU - despite being a test with no sound, after dozens of tests the result is always the same (+/-1%)!
48% behind the winner is VIA KT133A - TOM2D has been a weak spot for VIA since the very beginning!
For the first time VIA KT266A places last! 49% slower than first place - GDI performance is very poor on KR7A-raid!

30 & 31. We switch to PC mark now. 2002 is the first version to be tested! This is a benchmark where a good CPU and RAM are required together with a fast drive on a chipset capable of making them all "sing in tune".
The order:
1. nforce1: NV7-133R + sound storm
2. nforce1: NV7-133R + creative live
3. KT133A: KT7A-raid
4.AMD760: KG7-raid
5. KT266A: KR7A-133R

30. CPU results: nforce1 wins for the second time! Both AMD760 and KT266A are very close but behind NVidia! The only outlier is the KT133A: 5% behind NVidia - the bottleneck caused by SDRAM can be seen here!
31. RAM results: VIA KT133A suffers a crippling loss being 15% behind nforce1! SDRAM is clearly not a good choice for Athlon XP! Most would expect the nforce1 with dual channel DDR to crush the competition here but this is not the case! Against all odds AMD760 is 3% faster than nforce1. This is not a huge difference, what is huge is the 14% advantage of KT266A - single channel chipset - against NVidia.
HDD scores are not taking into account as there are 5 different drives.

32 & 33 & 34. PC mark 2004 is next. This version adds a GPU score so it is interesting to see if any AGP implementation is flaky:
Same order as before:
1. nforce1: NV7-133R + sound storm
2. nforce1: NV7-133R + creative live
3. KT133A: KT7A-raid + creative live
4.AMD760: KG7-raid + creative live
5. KT266A: KR7A-133R + creative live

32. CPU score: nforce1, KT133A and AMD760 are very close to one another. On the other hand KT266A is in front being 5.5% better than nforce1! Another victory for Abit KR7A-raid.
33. RAM score: VIA KT133A is again last, far behind everyone else, demonstrating once again that Athlon XP and SDRAM are not a match made in heaven 😀! Outscoring nforce1 AMD760 claims second place while first place belongs again to VIA KT266A with a 17.5% lead on NVidia! Dual channel seems to make no difference as memory performance is abysmal on NV7-133R.
34. GPU score: only KT133A falls behind, the rest are grouped too close to declare a winner!

35 & 36 & 37. The final PC mark is the 2005 version.
Same as before:
1. nforce1: NV7-133R + sound storm
2. nforce1: NV7-133R + creative live
3. KT133A: KT7A-raid + creative live

35. CPU scores are too close to one another to declare a winner!
36. Memory: KT133A is again left behind courtesy of SDRAM PC-133. AMD760 is leading nforce1 by 12.5% and VIA gets to avenge the loss of its little brother with KT266A: 16% in front of nforce1.
37. GPU scores: Both VIA chipsets are let down here: KT133A being 12% slower than nforce1 and KT266A by 5%. AGP performance is not too good on these 2 in this benhmark. AMD760 score is too close to nforce1 to say we have a winner here.

38 & 39 & 40 (1024 & 1280 & 1600 resolution). After all the synthetic benchmarks it is time to do some real world game testing! The first game is Far cry 1. Release in 2004 it requires a strong CPU and a lot of memory. 2 GB of RAM are more than enough but on KT7A-raid with only 1.5 GB memory utilization hovers around 1.3 - 1.4 GB which is too close to be of comfort despite the fact that XP never complained about it. All details maxed out as geforce 7600 GT is more than capable of mastering the graphics in this game. I used HardwareOC bench tool to provide accurate and repeatable testing conditions. Because the results are in HTML format I do not have screen shots saved but I will put all of them in one archive for anyone interested.
First are the results for the system with NV7-133R with APU:

Far cry 1 summary: nforce1 is crushed! It needs Creative live just to keep up with VIA KT133A! Meanwhile AMD760 chipset is at least 15% better even at 1600*1200 while VIA KT266A destroys everyone else with a 25% (twenty five!!) lead over nforce1 and 10% over AMD760.
Things are looking really bad for the first nforce chipset if barely has the performance of KT133A - dual channel DDR getting the same performance as single channel SDR!

We switch to Half life 2, one of my favorite FPS that I still play today! It is a very optimized game that requires a balanced system. This is the original 2004 version and not the Steam version. I tested right in front of the train station where Dr Breen is making his speech.
I used Fraps 3.4.7 because HardwareOC bench tool refused to work. I am sorry for the lack of screenshots - Fraps outputs the results to Excel.
