Now this guy is a true scumbag.
He sold me a q9650 ES that was advertised as being unlocked, a early batch of these cpu's were unlocked. maybe a 100 or so. after that they were all locked.

I opened a SNAD case and he went crazy, I simply stated it was not a unlocked CPU and attached proof to the case. Now I'm having fun with him simply because I have nothing better to do. 😈 Yeah if he was civil about the case I would have left him alone, but treat me like this and you may as well put a kick me sign on your back.

Oh and I was not joking about the part about me knowing an engineer at Intel.

Yeah, definitely involve law enforcement directly. Do not get eBay involved until necessary. Normally just takes one call, maybe two, to the state or city the seller is registered through. I'm sure eBay is like telecoms when it comes to information about its customers when law enforcement calls them. Me, I just call the DHS directly when people make threats.

He sent me some links that seems to lead to a porn site and said some unspeakable things about my mother being goat his father owned. That and a bunch of stuff about being inbred.

For something that isn't supposed to be resold there sure are a lot of Intel engineering samples on eBay. I assume Intel gives them out in bulk to OEMs and doesn't ask for them back.

They ask for them back.
But they don't always pursue the missing ones.
Most go missing whem company's like asus give them out to motherboard reviewers and system boulders.
If intel went after a compony like Asus they would loses more money then its worth.

I am not suffering Buyers remorse. The seller didn't accurately describe the item, likely out of ignorance then refused to work with me. His conduct is ridiculous, especially threatening legal action.

Did the listing not have photos? from the link you posted it seems alot like he listed it hostilely and you just assumed it was something different.
