Thank you thank you and thank you for your time!!!
Can you tell me the exact command i must use with avrdude? i use usbasp as a programmer with burn o mat.
I've also double checked wiring and it is ok even checked continuity of the cables.
About the leds i can not find in the schematic which is led number one and led number two only led_r and led_g and as i told you green led starts flashing steady after about 20 seconds of powering the circuit and red does nothing even when move the mouse.
I am sure is a programming mistake by me but i have no experience with avrdude and i read somewhere that wrong settings can brick the mcu. Also first time i did this i had fuses set wrong and i am afraid i've damaged the chip.
Why not rule out the possibility of a damaged MCU by programming a new MCU?
Plan your life wisely, you'll be dead before you know it.
Did you test it with a another Computer ?
even Windows 7/8 supports serial mouse if needed.

If you have some sort of Multi I/O eg. 386/486 maybe the rs232 breakout cable is wrong ?
Command: avrdude -c usbasp -p t2313 -U lfuse:w:0xe4:m -U hfuse:w:0xdf:m -U efuse:w:0xff:m
For internal 8Mhz Oscilator.
Can make problems with RS232 Communications.
You also can connect a LCD to the Controller for debugging.
But you need to enable it in the Sourcecode and recompile the firmware.

matze79, will you be providing a full kit w/programmed MCU anytime soon?

It does not work with win7 and my 486 has onboard ports no io card, so maybe must be a programming fault i'll keep trying
AMD 486DX-100 MB8433/40 Ver3.1 Trident Vga
something that is troubling me: Avrdude sais it can not set the sck clock although goes on and program the avr succefully hmm...
AMD 486DX-100 MB8433/40 Ver3.1 Trident Vga
try the old firmware, and tell if it works.
(Old firmware does not work with all types of mouse, and does not support kvm Switch)
Maybe its a combatible issue. Did you try to reset the contoller and reload driver after boot ?
Did you try a different MAX232 Chip ? Did you check Voltages of the Charge Pump ?
Under Windows 7 you need to manually install the serial logitech mouse driver to get it working.
When the Firmware detects the Mouse the Controller works.
How did you wire to the RS232 Port ? The rx/tx and other signals are crossed in the Schematic,
like a nullmodem wire.
If anyone wants the adapter, please write here 😀
I'm currently put a list of potential buyer together.

I have two different versions of the Vetra. There is significant lag with the mouse tracking.

I have tested other units with less lag than the Vetra units, and some with more, so clearly some schemes are better than others in this regard.

If anyone wants a Adapter Kit, please tell me until the End of January.
I will order then another Patch of Parts..
There is a delay of up to 8 weeks until delivery, cheapo shipping from China takes much time.

Matze, what would the cost be for the bare PCB? Also how do you accept payment?
