Hi,
i have XP Pro SP2 and i want to install Destruction Derby.
If I the DOSbox use come the following error...
"MSCDEX needed to Install the game"
if i mount my cdrom, i write
"mount g g:\ -t cdrom -ioctl"
the following message comes
"MSCDEX istalled"
"G: mounted for CDrom"
but it doesnt work.
who can help me ?

So you don't get the MSCDEX error but a different one?
Or does it exit to the dosbox command line without any
additional message?

this *should* work, though I did encounter a game that refused to install this way in DOSBox...

You can install the game in CVS of DOSBox

But if you have only the version from rapidshare, it will not run anyway after installation, because it needs CD in drive. You may try to find another version or no-cd patch, then the game should run in DOSBox, but it will be probably slow. You could also try to run it in XP with VDMSound.
