That's legitimately impressive damage. And it's just as impressive that it still works.

I've seen this kind of damage before. It looks like one of the previous owners plugged in the AT PSU connectors backwards.

Not sure WHY I had to pay import tax on a 23 year old motherboard witch most would consider e-waste, but I wanted it bad since I've had mediaGX CPUs in my collection for years but nothing to test them on, and I've wanted to test out what is practically the fastest 486 platform ever made from the moment I heard bout it's existence.

The board is an ECS P5GX-M:

New old stock apparently. Came in a sealead antistatic bag with manual and driver CD, but no box or I/O plate.

Two lots arrived today.
One with three power supplies, two ATs and one ATX, the ATs lack ignition switches, I bought a new couple.
: The other batch consists of an ASUS P5N-E SLI MB with Intel CoreDuo2 E6750 CPU and four 1GB DDR2 RAMs, plus a bezel for the cabinet doors (unfortunately not of this MB).
The RAMs are in pairs of different brands, one pair is ADATA the other has ELPIDA chips.

I can't find a bloody ATX power supply locally at all. The last one I picked up for $20 did some weird things (you had to push power 3-4 times before it would actually kick on) and hten I put it into another system where the power supply spat out some smoke and unpleasant smells.

I think I'm just gonna go buy some new ones, they're only $8 more.

Obviously the ATX was included in the lot, I needed the two ATs.
I have to test them and see the voltages if they are ok.
The lot ATX is of poor quality.
The ATs are intended for PC 486, I hope there are no problems, but if they were broken I would be able to fix them (almost certainly).

I am extremely confused about those drive bays 🤔 For example, in regards to the 3,5" ones, previously it looked like there were 2 separate bay covers, but now it looks like it's a single piece that has an opening on top for the floppy drive. Is the whole thing a completely separate piece compared to the original photo?

Have one of these (though mine is black), it's a pretty robust unit, albeit the stand is a bit tricky to adjust (I don't know if it's unique to mine or not but sometimes if I adjust it down, it pops back up on its own).

Did you say 486 platform?

I did, but "platform" isn't really the correct term, since the CPUs don't use the 237 pin socket 3. Instead the media gx uses a a 269 pin socket witch is mechanically compatible with socket 7. I guess " 486 architecture" would have been more fitting, as the MediaGX is build around a Cyrix 586 core. 33MHz FSB, 16KB of L1 cache, with clock speeds ranging from 133 to 266MHz.

It's kinda reminiscent to the AOpen H600 series, even though the front bezel has not an identical design. And nice to see a beige case like this one that hasn't yellowed at all.

Been lurking on ebay and other sites trying to score deals, my target is not to spend more than 20-30$ at a time. Some recent additions:

A lot of qty 4 IDE drives and qty 2 3.5" floppy drives. Am I the only person who is completely nuts about case color matching and LED matching?

Socket 370 motherboard - MSI MS-6326, came with a p3 733 and some RAM. Will be using this for the 1 ghz p3 cpu which I purchased a while back.

Geforce 2 GTS Pro with 64 mb - unknown brand, the part number doesn't come up on google, would be appreciated if any one has more info on this guy!!
It was missing a fan but I found and ordered a 30 mm replacement on Amazon, it's really meant for 3d printers or raspberry pi but fits perfectly in the heatsink.
