Supposedly you can slipstream SP1 in the latest ver. Haven't tried it though.
I tried slipstreaming in SP1, but I've not tested it yet. I'm not sure if it's worth the effort unless you're going to reinstall A LOT. You have to download a 1 GB+ ISO from Microsoft's website, then mount or burn it, then extract your install disc's content, then integrate SP1, then finally burn the new DVD.
I have used nLite (for XP) several times with very good results. Not only does it easily slipstream service packs, you can also easily add drivers that are not included with the original CD, such as SATA drivers. No more waiting around to press F6 to get the installer to use your driver disk. It is nice to be able to do an unattended install that can even do some customizations for you. vLite is made by the same people, but for Vista.
