I've got a G5 running DOXBox 0.72 and Boxer. I bought a copy of 1942 The Pacific Air War (used to play it as a kid) so I have the floppy disks, not the Gold Edition on CD. When I open the disk in OS X 10.4.11 I click on "bootdisk.exe" and Boxer brings up the install window.

From there I don't know what path to install to. The install window asks for an install directory but no matter what I put, C: or Z:, it comes back with an invalid destination path. Can anyone help me with the setup?

Okay, I ran across the 60 second guide and that helped me install the game. Does anyone have any experience running this game? It stutters really bad and I've read quite a bit about how to speed up DOSBox but haven't had good results yet.

Try

1) core=dynamic
2) cycles=max
3) scaler=none
4) output=???? (you have to try different methods)
5) frameskip=1 (or 2)
