I recently changed my Linux installation from Ubuntu to Xubuntu. Previously I exchanged documents between a DOS application running in DOSbox on Xubuntu and the same application running in a DOS window on Windows without any problem.

Now when I load documents created on Windows into the application running in DOSbox the CR/LF end of paragraph setting has no effect. All characters are run together with no paragraph breaks. On both machines the application is set to use the CR/LF combination as the new paragraph command.

Perhaps I encountered this problem before and found a solution, but I don't remember it doing so. I work on both machines, and I use this application a lot.

Anyone have any idea what's going on and how I can fix the problem?
